Signing and children with Down syndrome at the Pamela Sunter Centre, BIngley
Wednesday 2nd and 9th October, 9.30 to 11.30 both days.
The course is over two, 2 hour sessions and covers why we use signing with children with Down syndrome and the signs for the alphabet, manners, animals, food, family and other people, the home, school day, colours, descriptions, time/days, questions and
connective/link words. It includes practice sessions of useful phrases and familiar children’s songs and finishes with a discussion on how unwanted behaviours can be addressed through introducing signing.
