Manageable ECT Mentoring to Maximise Progress

This course will begin by examining current ‘Mentoring’ research evidence to think and question practice.

‘The quality of mentoring put in place for teachers who are in the early stages of their career needs to be effective and enable improvement.’ (Ofsted, May 2019)

You will assess your current mentoring skill set identifying both strengths and areas for development. Approaches to effective mentoring will then be explored and developed. Upon reflection a SMART action plan will be created in order to enhance your role as mentor and effectively support your early career teachers.
