Queens’ College Cambridge want to see more young people from the Bradford region making successful applications to Oxbridge and to support this they have employed a full time member of staff in the Bradford region.

Siân Bex who will be based at Margaret McMillan Tower within the Employment, Education and Skills team has the remit of encourage young people to consider Oxbridge as an option, and to supporting young people who want to make an application to Cambridge, Oxford or other top Universities. She can work with any secondary school, or post-16 college, but can offer some sessions to primary children as well.

As well as supporting young people, she will also be able to support schools and parents to help their young people and answer any questions that they might have.

Siân is able to offer a variety of inputs including information sessions on what Cambridge can offer, making applications and what to expect at interview, talks by current students on student life at Cambridge, ‘super-curricular’ sessions, and visits to Cambridge to tour the college and visit the University amongst others. She can work with groups or individuals and is happy to discuss individual school’s needs, to see how they can meet those needs.
