We will be doing maintenance to our website systems on Sunday, 31 January. Despite the ongoing situation with Covid-19 it is essential that we maintain the security of our systems. This will help us continue to deliver vital public health messages and information about council services via our website and allow you all to access our services using online forms. The work should be done with little disruption to you and any interruption should be short. If you do have problems accessing the site or something doesn’t work on Sunday, please try again later.
If you are responsible for your primary school library, however big or small it may be, come along to the next meeting of the Primary School Librarians Group on Thursday 4th July 9.30am - 11.30am.
The group provides support to those who have been given resposnsibility for library provision in their school, offering shared best practice; shared opportunities and innovative ideas to make your library a vibrant and vital part of school life. The group provides a direct link with the Public Library Service which means that both schools and the public library can work together to offer a joined up service for the library provision to children. We meet termly for 2 hours because we appreciate getting time out of school can be difficult and we vary our meeting locations as this gives an opportunity to see different library set-ups across the Bradford district. The group started in November 2018 and is already enjoying forging links between participating schools and the public library service. Our next meeting is Thurs 4th July 9.30am - 11.30am @ Byron Primary. If you would like to come along please email christinea.donnelly@bradford.gov.uk Development Officer for Children and Young People
