Space Chase Summer Reading Challenge 2019 starts Saturday 13th July at all libraries across the Bradford district. This term encourage your pupils to participate using the free resources available to teachers. Visit www.spacechase.org.uk to access the YouTube Summer Reading Challenge trailer;

school assembly powerpoint; activity sheets and advocacy material for parents as well as loads of author videos to use in class. You and your class can sit back and listen to children's authors talking about their favourite books and what reading means to them and even, how they struggled with reading and what helped to turn their reading around.  The Summer Reading Challenge is a free initiative from Libraries in partnership with the Reading Agency, to keep children reading during the long summer holidays. Children are encourage to complete the challenge by receivng incentives along the way as they aim to read 6 books. On completion they receive a medal and certificate.
