GREEN PLAN IT - Inspiring Young People To Grow

Green Plan It is a youth-led project which encourages Year 8 and 9 students to discover the power of plants!

Through Green Plan It, your students will have the opportunity to:

  • Apply for funding to create their garden for real
  • Compete against local schools for a chance to win a trophy
  • Discover how plants and green spaces benefit people and the planet
  • Develop their confidence, decision making skills, creativity and teamwork
  • Learn about the wonderful world of plants
  • Receive advice on designing a garden from an expert horticultural mentor

Over ten weeks in the autumn term, student teams will be paired with a horticultural mentor and challenged to design and build a model of a garden they would like to see in their school or community.
