An innovative group work programme to prevent children and young people aged 10 - 14 becoming involved in exploitation.

Barnardo's and YMCA are working together to form the Trusted Relationships Group Work Team.

We are offering 'preventative' awareness raising workshops and training to: Teachers, Governors, Young People, Parents and the wider community

Sessions are provided flexibly through a variety of approaches to meet individual school needs.

We also offer 'targeted' group work sessions for young people (10 - 14) where low risk concerns or vulnerabilities have been identified relating to:

- Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE)
- Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE)
- Gangs and Knife crime
- Radicalisation

Examples of themes we can cover include:

- Relationships (Healthy / Unhealthy)
- Power & Control
- Consent
- What is grooming?
- Keeping Safe
- Managing conflict
- Critical thinking
- Healthy Minds
- Resilience & Coping
- Online safety
