The Curriculum Innovation Service are pleased to share the news that Horton Park Primary have achieved the nationally recognised SWGfL 360 Online Safety Mark demonstrating a high standard of Online Safety provision across the whole school including policy, practice, leadership and curriculum

The school is the 17th Bradford school to achieve the Mark in recent years. The Online Safety Mark assessor Paul Scott was very impressed with the excellent leadership across the school from the Online safety lead Catherine MacGilchrist and the Head Salma Rahman. The school demonstrated very effective systems to identify, record and respond to Online Safety incidents and have worked successfully with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that key Online Safety messages are shared with staff, pupils, parents and the wider community. The school also makes great use of pupil Digital Leaders to help disseminate messages to pupils and parents. Achieving the Mark requires a substantial commitment across the whole school; the school and community should be very proud of their achievement.

The Curriculum Innovation team recommend all schools make use of the free 360 degree safe self-review tool available here https://360safe.org.uk.

All our Curriculum Innovation consultants are qualified Online Safety Mark assessors and are able to support any schools in assessing their present provision, developing their future provision and providing Online Safety Mark assessments. Bradford schools who subscribe to the Bradford Learning Network (BLN) can also receive a substantial discount on Online Safety Mark assessments from the team.
