COURSE: Makaton Early Years Taster

A 2 hour session designed to give participants an insight and basic experience in using Makaton Language Programme.

 

Around 25 signs and symbols will be learnt with the opportunity of learning a further 15-25 signs ans symbols with an Early Years theme.  During the session attendees will receive information on Makaton, learn signs to promote effective communication with others, and practice signing in sentences within the group.

 This session is useful as the first step to attending further Makaton training.

No previous knowledge or experience of Makaton is needed.

Venue: Margaret McMillan Tower

 Refreshments: drinks on arrival.

Suitable for: Professionals, practitioners & parents/carers along with anyone with an interest in Makaton. Christmas theme.
