Bradford’s Famous Fossil - A Victorian science and discovery story at Cliffe Castle Museum in Keighley.

We are looking for 2 classes from KS2 to trial funded workshops on the following dates:

Wednesday 6 March    1pm – 2.30pm
Thursday 7 March        1pm – 2.30pm

Cliffe Castle Museum, Keighley: KS2 Bradford’s Famous Fossil - A Victorian science and discovery story.

Using drama techniques, pupils will uncover the fascinating story of the famous fossil found in a  Bradford colliery and presented to one of the periods leading scientists and friend of Darwin, Thomas Huxley.  Pupils will consider life in the Victorian period along with working scientifically as they view and interpret the original fossil which is still known world wide in the scientific community.

We are looking for schools with higher than average Pupil Premium and FSM as the session is part of our Museums & Schools programme funded by the Dept for Education/ Arts Council England.
