Mental Health Champions Project

Funded by the local Clinical Commissioning Groups, and supported by CAMHS, the project is leading the way in developing the role of Mental Health Champions in Schools in line with the government’s Green Paper: Transforming Children and Young People’s Mental Health Provision, which calls for all schools to identify a Mental Health Lead in their school.

Speakers include:

Dr Pooky Knightsmith -  Mental Health Author and Educator and Vice Chair - Children and Young People’s Mental Health Coalition

Francis Murphy – Headteacher Pegasus School

 

Workshops include:

Self-harm, whole school approaches to well-being, using the PSHE curriculum to promote mental health awareness, CAMHS: referals, communication and joint working, Monster Magic intervention

 

There will be a number of stalls where you can find out about local initiatives to support the children, young people, families and staff in your school.
