Are you aware of any eligible parents who have missed out on their child’s 30 hour place who applied before a termly deadline and haven't been issued a code in time so have had to pay for childcare?
The Department for Education have informed Local Authorities that parents may be eligible for some monetary redress if they have missed out on their child’s place through no fault of their own. Parents may have applied to HMRC for their code before the termly deadline but not been issued a code in time.
If a parent thinks they meet these conditions they should make a complaint by completing the standard HMRC complaint form or call the Childcare Service helpline on 0300 123 4097.
