Call for Young Ambassadors: Opportunity for young people to have their say

We're forming a Young Ambassadors group to coordinate the views of young people on social mobility and to work on ideas that could have a positive impact on the lives of young people.

The Ambassadors group will have a close connection with the Bradford Opportunity Area Board and their independent chair Anne-Marie Canning.

Ambassadors will be supported through the youth service to build up their understanding and skills to enable them to take on active roles.  Their role will involve talking to other young people and feeding through their findings firstly to the Ambassadors Group and then onto relevant decision makers.

The Young Ambassadors will meet in a central Bradford location on a fortnightly basis. Young people will plan out how they want to develop this work and what to cover in each session.

The sessions will enable young people to develop new friendships with young people from other parts of the District, as well as the work there will also be plenty of opportunities to have some fun.

Young people who want to be ambassadors will need to be good listeners as well as talkers.  It is going to be important that they reach out to all young people from the wider community.

To register your interest, complete the attached form and return it to the email address below.

Young people from across the District who are interested in getting involved are asked to attend an info session on Friday 13th July at 5pm at Culture Fusion, 125 Thornton Rd, Bradford BD1 2EP.
