Family Learning and Adult Skills Service (Skills for Work) at Bradford Council are now taking bookings for September courses, available to all parents.

We have funding available for accredited and no-accredited courses available which range from 2 hour workshops to 30 week courses.

Here are some of our most popular courses:

Family First Aid - Learn how to deal with a wound, recognise signs and symptoms of a fracture, put on a sling and about the recovery position.

Family Language (ESOL) - Practice introducing yourself and learning to recognise letters of the alphabet.

Family Talk (ESOL) - Learn about using effective body language, how to be a good listener and ask open questions)

Functional Skills Maths, English & ICT

Digital Families - (learn about keeping family safe online)

ESOL

It's Childs Play - (learn about the importance of playing as a learning and growing tool)

Keeping up with your child's English - Create and use resources and activities to develop English skills. Build self confidence in supporting children.

Keeping up with your child's Maths - Explore a variety of learning resources and methods used in school to teach the children's maths curriculum. Develop maths skills, create maths resources.

Employability & Personal Development - (Respond to others, time management and matching skills to jobs)

Stepping into a Job - (Develop basic reading & writing skills for job applications)

Introduction to ICT - (For beginners)
