FREE Training - preventing childhood obesity

To be completed by: Tue 20 Mar 2018

Time: -Tue 20 Mar 2018 | Venue:

This FREE training is available to those working with parents of children aged 0-5 years - this training covers how to raise the issue of unhealthy lifestyle choices in a supportive way

“The best thing about running the HENRY group in our school has to be the relationships we’ve built between us and the parents. The parents have also developed confidence to access other groups, such as ESOL. The other thing is the relationships between the parents themselves, they’ve swapped numbers and plan to start a coffee morning after the sessions have finished.” Byron Primary School

Core Training

This two day training is aimed at health and early years practitioners or anyone who works directly with families of children aged 0-5 years. The training will enable practitioners to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence in tackling weight issues. We consider not just what information that parents might need in order to develop healthy lifestyles, but how we might be able to approach these topics with parents in a sensitive and effective manner. Our training is evidence-based and RSPH approved.
