We will be doing maintenance to our website systems on Sunday, 23 August. Despite the ongoing situation with Covid-19 it is essential that we maintain the security of our systems. This will help us continue to deliver vital public health messages and information about council services via our website and allow you all to access our services using online forms. The work should be done with little disruption to you and any interruption should be short. If you do have problems accessing the site or something doesn’t work on Sunday, please try again later.
This 10 week accredited course starts on 16th January at Margaret McMillan Towers 9.15- 12.00. Please contact barbara.bartle@bradford.gov.uk to book your place.
Participants will learn about communication theory and are given a course book full of practical strategies to use immediately in the classroom. Most importantly, they will understand how and why to use these strategies to support any child in accessing the curriculum, become an independent learner and improve their social skills. A portfolio of work and interventions with the children embeds the teaching and this is then assessed and marked by the Elklan tutor enabling delegates to achieve a level 3 accreditation. Learners will need a further half a day per week in school to complete portfolio tasks.
For full course dates and details please see the Teaching Support Service course brochure on BSO.
