Take up of 30 hours
This term 2036 children are accessing a 30 hour place which is excellent news
so thank you for all your hard work and perseverance. Bradford’s take up is good compared to other regional Local Authorities.
Timescales for January starters
New 30 hour parents have up to
31st December to receive their code for a January start. Codes must be dated before the 1st January and don’t forget you
must check the code before offering a place.
Code Checking Update
must reconfirm their 30 hour eligibility to continue to receive the funded hours. The valid end date is the date they must reconfirm by.
- Parents that reconfirm
on time do not need to bring the code to their provider and providers should not recheck the code.
- Bradford Council will inform providers
of any eligibility codes that are in a grace period. Providers must inform the parent that the funding will end and advise them to go into their childcare account and reconfirm or ring the helpline on 0300 1234 097 for support. When the parents has reconfirmed
they should inform the provider who must recheck the code to ensure it is not in a grace period before offering a place.
- Parents that have a temporary code (these
start with 11) must complete a new application. They must do this through their childcare service account to get a permanent code and take this to their provider; the provider must check their code.
- Some parents
are or have experienced technical issues when trying to reconfirm. In some cases HMRC childcare account will be deleted, and they will get a new account and eligibility code. If parents bring a new code providers
must check the code.
- HMRC have a team
that deal with complaints and technical issues. Parents can ask to be referred to this team if their issues are not resolved. Call
0300 1234 097 and ask to be referred to this team.
