Bradford BBC Ten Pieces Festival 24/25 March 2018 - Get Involved!

To be completed by: Fri 08 Dec 2017

Time: -Fri 08 Dec 2017 | Venue:

The Bradford Music & Arts Service is holding a BBC Ten Pieces Festival on 24/25 March and we want schools to get involved!

BBC Ten Pieces aims to open up classical music to a new generation of students and inspire them to develop their own creative responses to music through a range of art forms.

There are lots of ideas and help on the BBC website so have a look and get inspired!

The BBC Ten Pieces Festival is a great opportunity for any class or group to choose one of the Ten Pieces and create their own response to it, and then come along and perform it. They could play it, dance to it, make a rap from it, make a drama piece out of it, create artwork for it, compose their own piece inspired by it, digitally change it! Art work will be displayed and showed with music.

For examples of responses from across the UK, have a look at

We are hoping to hold workshops for school staff to come along and get more information on the Festival and have a hands on experience of creating responses in the Autumn term.

Many of the responses that you and your students create in schools will be brought together at our Bradford  BBC Ten Pieces Festival. The performances will be recorded/videoed and submitted to the BBC Ten Pieces website. There is a chance that some may be selected to be performed in London later next year.

The Festival will have various performance slots during the weekend for everyone to come and watch.

How to get involved:

1   Register your interest on

2   Have a think about what you and your students could do;

3  Watch this space for more information in the Autumn term.
