Bradford Libraries are delighted that we can offer schools five events for Children’s Book Week (13th – 17th November 2017).
We have a wonderful exhibition courtesy of the Royal Horticultural Society and Seven Stories Museum looking at the “Life and Stories of Enid Blyton”, which will be central to our Enid Blyton Workshops. The children will have the opportunity to meet Enid
Blyton (actress & storyteller Irene Lofthouse) and hear about her life and writing, as she chats while sitting on her picnic rug. She will read extracts from the Famous Five and other titles before the children are given time to think about their own adventure
story and to do the Enid Blyton trail around the exhibition. Every child will receive a special anniversary Famous Five book along with a copy to take back for every child in your school.
Our Enid Blyton Workshops are all at City Library on Monday 13th November 9.30am – 11am & 1.15pm – 2.45pm; Tuesday 14th November 9.30am – 11am & 1.15pm – 2.45pm, and Thursday 16th November 1.15pm – 2.45pm (Suitable for Y3, Y4 or Y5). All
sessions are free of charge. We have places for 60 children for each session from two schools. We will offer one place (30 children max) per school.
If you are interested in booking one of the events above please fill in the form attached.
The deadline for applications is Wednesday 1st November. Your school will be sent a letter of confirmation via email if you have been successful in securing a place. If you require further information please contact Christinea Donnelly Development
