Updated DfE information regarding what schools must publish online

For some time now the Communications Team from the LA in conjunction with the School Governor Service [SGS] have been assisting schools with their websites regarding compliance with The School Information (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 issued by the DfE.

The Department for Education [DfE] has updated the guidance relating to the information schools should publish on their website depending on school type.

  • Further information relating to the information that maintained schools should publish on their website can be found here
  • Further information relating to the information that academies, free schools and colleges should publish on their website can be found here.

The DfE recommends that you publish all of this information on your website if you are one of these types of schools or colleges.

Most schools who were compliant previously (i.e. before the Autumn term 2017) may, now in fact, not be compliant.

In particular the Pupil Premium Strategy for the academic year 2017 – 2018 needs to be added, and also the impact  [effect]  for the previous academic year needs to be included in last year’s Pupil Premium Report. We recommend that the Primary and Secondary Pupil Premium Strategy blank templates are used that have  been produced by the Teaching Schools Council and can be found  here.

The School Governor Service has produced an updated School Compliance Checklist that can be used to audit your published information. This checklist is available to subscribing schools and can be found in the ‘documents for subscribing schools’ area on Bradford Schools Online.

Please contact Julie Ioanna at the School Governor Service if you have questions.
