Do you love trees? Do you want your pupils to love trees? The Woodland Trust has created The Green Tree Schools Award to encourage outdoor learning and 1000 schools across the region are being given a unique chance to nurture and inspire a new generation
of nature lovers, with the help of Woodland Learning Officer Mel Frances
The award allows schools to gain points for completing exciting and educational activities such as tree planting, photography, art and recycling and progress through bronze, silver and gold levels to the prestigious platinum award.
Any school can sign up and you can email Mel to see if your school is eligible for extra support and additional free resources, such as wildlife identification guides and a curriculum based resource pack.
