Digital Leader Recruitment Masterclass - 23 June 2017

Following the success of the Digital Leader Academy programme the Curriculum Innovation team is offering trained Digital Leaders the opportunity to attend a session at the Innovation Centre aimed at increasing Digital Leader capacity in other years or replacing those leaders who are leaving Year 6

This Master Class will enable your present Digital Leaders to deliver a full recruitment process to ensure sustainable Digital Leader capacity at your school. The session includes an assortment of templates and resources for use back in school.

Job Specification

What is the role of the Digital Leader in school? What skills, knowledge and understanding do applicants need to demonstrate? After discussions, the children will create a job description template for the role of a Digital Leader and incorporate this into a job advertisement.

Advertising

How will you advertise the new Digital Leader vacancies at your school? We will discuss physical and online methods for sharing the advert, deadlines and ways to receive applications.

Short Listing

How will you decide who to interview? This will include looking at how to score each application against some basic sills, knowledge and experience criteria. We will also discuss how successful and unsuccessful candidates are notified.

Interviewing

What is the interview process and how do you decide who is successful? We will identify who should be part of the interview panel, what questions need to be asked, any tasks that need be completed as part of the interview and how response can be collated. We will also discuss how successful and unsuccessful candidates are notified.

Induction

What will you do to help new Digital Leaders? Discussion of what induction means and what you might include in the induction process to ensure your Digital Leaders can be successful in your school.

The session will run 09:30 - 11:30 on Friday 23 June 2017 at the Innovation Centre Bradford.
