How to successfully support pupils with autism and achieve good outcomes - we Walk the Talk : Achieving
Crossflatts Primary School is a two form entry primary school, with a nursery. We have high ambitions for our children; committed to providing the best education possible for every child. At the heart of the school lies our DSP (Designated Special Provision),
‘the Dolphin Class’. Our DSP provides 12 places, and is situated in two newly refurbished classrooms: one for Early Years and Key Stage One, and one for Key Stage Two children.
Our DSP allows children to be part of a thriving school community while receiving specialist support. Each child is part of a mainstream class and spends as much time as possible in that class according to their individual needs. If the child cannot access
their mainstream class, the DSP provides a calm, happy and structured environment in which children feel confident and safe.
The course will be led by Amanda Armstrong, Consultant specializing in SEND and the Lead Teacher and Manager of the Designated Specialist Provision at Crossflatts Primary School, Karen McCausland.
Total cost, including lunch and USB is £150.00 per person.
