Are you an RQT or would RQTS at your school benefit from greater knowledge of SEN Early Identification and Support.

If so, then sign-up now for this highly sought after 3x half day programme funded by CBMDC and delivered by an experienced SLE teacher from Chellow Heights School. 

This programme is for recently qualified teachers and is run over three sessions:

  • Wednesday 1 March 2017, 09.30 —12.30
  • Wednesday 15 March 2017, 09.30 — 12.30
  • Wednesday 22 March 2017,09.30 — 12.30

All Sessions are delivered at Chellow Heights School, Thorn Lane, Bingley Road. BD9 6AL

Delegates are expected to commit to attend all three sessions

Early identification and assessment

*Practical experiences of different needs – workshop carousel

*Assessing needs and check-lists to use in schools

*STAR Behaviour - how to target needs

*Introduction to quick ILPs - a practical and quick approach to SMART targets, progress records and impact.

* Conclusion and things to try before next session


* Review of own experiences

* Learning Resources and Environments –  includes a tour of the school

* Communication systems and adaptations

* In depth look at ILPs and setting SMART targets and

     Impact tracking

What next?

 * Review of own experiences with ILPs or IEPs and target setting

 * P level and Early Support

 * Next Steps and sign posting to support -

    Learning and Cognition, SEMH, Sensory and Medical,

    Communication and Interaction

 * Ongoing Support - Teaching Triangles, Chellow OATS package
