- BBC Music Day will connect communities and generations with an inspirational celebration of the power of music across the UK.
- With support from ambassadors and organisations including Music Education Hubs, music charities and local councils, BBC Music Day has become an annual fixture in the calendar, celebrating our diverse musical talent, forging new musical collaborations and
inspiring new connections.
- Coverage is planned across the whole day via Local and Network BBC TV & Radio.
The school element will take place during the school day in City Park, Bradford.
Training and resources for the Big Sing/Dance/Junk Percussion will be provided to all schools in order for full participation.
It is hoped that a World Record may be set with a massed bamboo tamboo performance. If your school has a bamboo tamboo set and would like to be included in this please complete this section on the reply form and we will get in touch with you.
There will be a safe and secure area during the day for schools/pupils.
We are expecting possible coverage from news stations and newspapers and may also use footage and photos for our own marketing and publicity so ensure you have the right permission in place for pupils to participate. Due to the nature of the event,
we are unable to guarantee any exception to this as this falls outside of our control and is a public event and as such anyone can take photos/video footage.
We are actively working with the BBC to firm up this event and as soon as the programme/timings are available these will be sent out to schools.
