STEM Ambassador Programme

STEM Ambassadors are inducted and DBS checked professionals from STEM backgrounds who volunteer their time for FREE as inspiring role models for young people. They are keen to work with schools and non-school groups to engage young people and enthuse them about STEM subjects. You can request ambassadors to support school lessons/assemblies/fairs or extra-curricular events such as STEM Clubs. You may want a STEM Ambassador to give an inspiring assembly speech about a specific STEM subject area or to attend a careers fair to explain about their career path into a certain industry. You may want them to support you within a lesson, carrying out an experiment, undertaking a project or designing an engaging task. They can contribute to timetabled lessons,  deliver inspirational talks/assemblies and support extra-curricular events such as STEM Clubs, careers events and visits.

STEM Learning co-ordinates the national STEM Ambassador Programme, There are 30,000 STEM Ambassadors nationwide with expertise across a wide range of STEM subject areas, including: Zoologists, Climate change scientists, Engineers of all disciplines, Farmers, IT specialists, Geologists, Nuclear physicists, Architects, Video game developers, Chemistry technicians, Pharmacists and Energy Analysts (just to name a few!).
