SEN Early Identification and Support

Bradford Birth to 19 and Chellow Heights School are excited to present this innovative programme to support teachers in SEN Early Identification and support, during Spring 2017. Bookings are being taken now, £110 for all 3 sessions. Places are limited so book early.

SESSION 1: Early Identification and Assessment

   Thursday 26 January 2017, 9.30am –12.30pm

 * Practical experiences of different needs – workshop carousel

   * Assessing needs and check-lists to use in schools

   * STAR Behaviour - how to target needs                                      

* Introduction to quick ILPs - a practical and quick approach to SMART targets, progress records and impact.

* Conclusion and things to try before next session

SESSION 2: Differentiation

 Thursday 16 February 2017, 9.30am –12.30pm

* Review of own experiences

* Learning Resources and Environments –

  includes a tour of the school

  * Communication systems and adaptations

  * In depth look at ILPs and setting SMART targets and Impact tracking

 SESSION 3: What next?

 Thursday 16 March 2017, 9.30am –12.30pm

  * Review of own experiences with ILPs or IEPs and target setting

  * P level and Early Support

  * Next Steps and sign posting to support - Learning and Cognition, SEMH, Sensory and Medical, Communication and

     Interraction

  * Ongoing Support - Teaching Triangles, Chellow OATS package
