Support SMSC and the exploration of British Values at Cartwright Hall

To be completed by: Fri 21 Jul 2017

Time: -Fri 21 Jul 2017 | Venue:

Cartwright Hall Art Gallery is now offering a workshop to support children’s engagement with the British Values of individual liberty, rule of law and respect for different faiths and beliefs.

Using work at the gallery as inspiration children create their own textile artwork linked to individual liberty.  Children travel back in time to find out how laws from the past look after us in school today and participate in Victorian style campaigning.

Key artwork provides discussion points and an open forum for children to explore and ask questions about different religions.

This workshop will provide teachers with a wealth of evidence and starting points to take back in to school for follow up in the classroom.

Workshop length:  2 hours

Cost :    £120
