Karen has had a long and varied career in Autism. This includes teaching in a special school working with very complex children with Autism. Karen became a valued member of the Autism Team in 1990. Her work included the setting up and running of a Pre 5
intervention for children with social communication needs as well as becoming a manager for the Pre 5 team. This provision was valued by staff and parents as a valuable resource for children and their families. More recently Karen was promoted to Head of the
AS Team and for a number of years has led and managed the team successfully negotiating the changes imposed by the current climate. We will miss Karen but know she has great plans for the future.
