We will be doing maintenance to our website systems on Sunday, 31 January. Despite the ongoing situation with Covid-19 it is essential that we maintain the security of our systems. This will help us continue to deliver vital public health messages and information about council services via our website and allow you all to access our services using online forms. The work should be done with little disruption to you and any interruption should be short. If you do have problems accessing the site or something doesn’t work on Sunday, please try again later.
Date: 25/11/16 Morning only Price: £90pp Venue: MMT Braine room
This course offers an introduction to the thinking and practices of narrative therapy and would be of use to practitioners engaged in conversations with children, young people and their families to bring about change. It is through stories or ‘narratives’ that we give meaning to the events of our lives. This course will look at how narrative approaches can support conversations with children and young people about their preferred identities. If you are interested in having conversations with children and young people about their skills, competencies, values, principles and intentions or if you are interested in finding out about their preferred rather than ‘problem’ stories then this course is for you! The course will focus on theory and practice with the opportunity to explore a variety of ‘narrative tools’ and gain some experience in their use.
