What was happening in the wider world at the time of the Vikings?

Originally designed to support the history teaching of a non-European society this early Islamic Civilisation workshop can also be used to help children make links between the Vikings and the history of the wider world. Using artwork and artefacts children will explore early Islamic trade, ideas and influences and understand the place of the civilisation in the context of world culture.

Workshop length: 2 hrs     Cost: £120.
