Please get the word out there, to benefit and empower parent/carers, children and young people birth to 25 years with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Remember this includes behavioural and mental health services.
I have gathered some valuable feedback from attending schools, service providers, SEND events, workshops, and focus groups across the Bradford District. All feedback gained is acted upon, responses are provided from services and is all included within the
Local Offer Annual Reports (see LO
Annual Reports I have produced). The next Annual Report will be published by 31 August 2017.
Here is the link to the Bradford Councils
Local Offer. If you require Local Offer leaflets and/or booklets (as an alternative to the website) for your families and young people- please ask your families and young people, or your service, to get in touch with
Families Information Service who will send you copies of the leaflets and or booklets. This information is also on the leaflets and booklets.
The Local Offer is a very useful resources for professionals/service providers and families with children and young people with SEND birth to 25yrs to find out about all services available in one place (website). The Local Offer and its website has been
co-produced, developed and reviewed with parent/carers, children and young people with SEND 0-25yrs across the Bradford District and service providers within education health and social care. Therefore the Local Offer will always be developing and it is much
more than a directory of services. For further information about the Bradford’s Local Offer visit our
The Local Offer develops using feedback from key stakeholders. To leave feedback about the Local Offer content, accessibility, navigation and service provider gaps or for more information please click
The Local Offer can be used to benefit professionals trying to find SEND services all in one place and empowering parents, carers and their children and young people to find out about the SEND services, information and support available at a convenient time
for them, without trawling the internet and endless phone calls.
I would kindly ask if you could promote the Local Offer within, your community, services and websites to families, children and young people.
Local authorities have a statutory duty to develop and publish a Local Offer following the introduction of the 2014 Children and Families Act.
