Teaching workshops: SEN Early Identification and Support
For Class Teachers, SENCOS, Senior Leaders & School Support Workers in all Schools. covering 2 - 11 yr old year groups

Session 1:  Early Identification and Assessment
Wednesday 5th October, 9.30 –12.30, Chellow Heights West
• Practical experiences of different needs – workshop carousel
• Assessing needs and check-lists to use in schools (inc. Resources to take away)
• STAR Behaviour - how to target needs (inc. Resources to take away)
• Introduction to quick ILPs - a practical and quick approach to SMART targets,
progress records and IMPACT. (inc. Resources to take away)
• Conclusion and things to try before next session

Session 2:  Differentiation
Wednesday 19th October. 9.30 –12.30, Chellow Heights West
• Review of own experiences
• Learning Resources and Environments – includes a tour of the school
• Communication systems and adaptations
• In depth look at ILPs and setting SMART targets and Impact tracking
(inc. Resources to take away)

Session 3:  What Next?
Wednesday 30th November, 9.30 –12.30, Chellow Heights West
• Review of own experiences with ILPs or IEPs and target setting
• P level and Early Support - 3 groups (inc. Resources to take away)

- Primary - P Level Assessment
- Secondary P Level Assessment
• Next Steps and Sign Posting to support
- Learning and Cognition
- SEMH
- Sensory and Medical
- Communication and Interaction
• Ongoing Support - Teaching Triangles, Chellow OATS package

£35 per session/person or £100 for all 3 sessions
