To be completed by: Fri 04 Nov 2016

Time: -Fri 04 Nov 2016 | Venue:

The National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) provides grants, for teaching schools and national leaders of education (NLEs), to support school improvement by working with underperforming maintained schools and academies. Grants of up to £20,000 are available.

Schools eligible to apply for the funding (LA maintained schools graded as 'requires improvement' or at risk of a 'requires improvement' grade, or academies that secure the Regional Schools Commissioners support for an application) have until 12:00 noon on the 4th November to apply. Full details are available online via this link.

Bradford's Teaching Schools and NLEs will support eligible schools to prepare their application and submit it on their behalf. Funding can only be used for purchase support, e.g. Specialist Leader of Education (SLE) support, from another school that meets NCTL's criteria  and to release their staff to engage in the support, i.e. cover costs.

Schools that wish to apply for the funding or have the capacity to support an eligible school are encouraged to contact one of the Teaching Schools as soon as possible. Their contact details are listed below:
