This course will explore practical strategies to maximise the impact of the TA’s role on pupil attainment.

Reference will be made to the National Occupational Standards for TAs, to the SEND Code of Practice 2014 and to how Ofsted will look at the contribution of TAs and other adults to effective teaching and learning.

Tutors: Fiona Macaulay was Head of Bradford’s Learning Support Service until 2012.  She now works as an Education Consultant specialising in SEN strategy and school improvement. 

Jeanne Stitt was Deputy Head of the same service until 2014.  She specialises in all aspects of learning and cognition.
