The Bradford Education Covenant has been produced to drive up school standards in Bradford and lays down expectations of the Council, Schools, Pupils,
Parents and Governors.
The Covenant is calling on everyone in the District to get involved in a united drive to improve education standards and make education everybody’s business.
The Covenant sets out what the Council will do and what the Community can do to give young people the “best possible start in life”. The importance of this forum will be to discuss what The Covenant means to you as an individual and as a member of the Bradford
District. The history of how The Covenant came about will be discussed and the importance of engaging with all aspects of the District.
Speakers will include young people, representatives from businesses (Frank Clayton from N G Bailey) , parents and the voluntary sector (Peter Horner) and will offer an overview of The Covenant and its implications for the community.
