Education Today DVD (published June 2016)

A new version of our very successful Education Today DVD has been posted to every school in the district. This DVD discusses issues such as attendance, school uniform, types of schools etc.

It is also in several languages including English, English Subtitles, Polish, Slovak, Hungarian, Urdu & Arabic.
 

The programme is introduced by Michael Jameson (Strategic Director of Children's Services) and has been filmed in many schools across the district. This DVD is copyright free so you can make as many copies as you like to give to parents.

As well as discussing attendance, school uniform and types of schools it also discusses the following areas,

  • Equality
  • Applying for a school place
  • Phases of education
  • Home/school liaison
  • Further and higher education plus careers advice
  • Family experiences of school.
