Since January 2012 our services have been part funded by the Big Lottery Fund to the amount of approximately £70 000 per year. This covers about 50% of our total running costs.
This year is our last year of funding from the BLF and we are busy trying to secure funding so that we can maintain, and if possible, continue to develop our services to meet the needs of children and young people with Down syndrome.
However we are are in the process of setting out a plan for 2017 should we have to cut our services.
FRIENDS OF DOWN SYNDROME TRAINING & SUPPORT SERVICE
We would like to bring together a group of people to form a ‘task force’ to help us tackle our funding crisis.
People who would be happy to organise/attend/staff events aimed at raising funds.
