Would you like to try out simple strategies and activities for taking learning outside in Maths, English, Science, Geography and more?
Would you like time to plan some easy ways to use outdoor spaces in your teaching?
If so, then come along to our practical, accessible training day.
During this ½ day course we will work together to complete the following sessions:
- Why should you take your learning outside? Exploring the theory behind outdoor learning
- Help me I’m a teacher, get me back inside! Discovering where you are now, where you would like to be, and considering how to get there
- Getting out there. First steps for getting children outside, organized and ready to learn
- Connecting it up. Trying out simple, easy to resource, practical activities that develop learning in a variety of subjects across the primary age range
- Planning it in. Time to reflect on your learning today, consider your next steps and plan for learning outside with your class
This course is running twice on the same day. You need only attend one of the following sessions:
Session A
Date: Thursday 19th May
Time: 9am – 12 noon
Venue: Carrwood Primary School, Eversley Drive, Bradford, BD4 0EQ Cost: £50
Session B
Date: Thursday 19th May
Time: 1pm – 4pm
Venue: Riddlesden St Mary Primary School, Keighley BD20 5AB Cost: £50
What to bring: notebook and pen, plastic bag, a newspaper
Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather as we will be learning outside
