Unique school
The Virtual School is dedicated to ensuring the District’s looked after children and young people achieve their potential. We support schools’ proactive planning, react to the unexpected and remove barriers to progress.
Unique pupils
Bradford’s 600 looked after children are located within and beyond the District. The Virtual School ensures that every child receives the best start in life that we, as corporate parents, can provide.
Unique Associates required
These posts are likely to appeal to classroom support colleagues who enjoy working with children and young people to overcome barriers to learning. This may be in a school setting or in an appropriate alternative setting e.g. local library. Our associates
may have a preferred age group throughout the range of school ages. You may be looking for more flexible working arrangements rather than full-time permanent work. Some of our “Associates” like to work 2 days per week and others choose to work for two weeks
and then have two weeks off. The idea of supporting looked after children and young people at mutually convenient times will appeal on a professional and personal level.
To discuss the Virtual School Associate role and potential opportunities please contact Louise Coates-Black on 01274 434599 or Louise.Coates-Black@bradford.gov.uk
