We are seeking two speech and language therapists to help in the monthly delivery of group sessions for children and young people who have Down syndrome. The sessions are funded by the Big Lottery Fund until December 2017 and based at our centre in Bingley.

(Two Positions)

We are currently looking for qualified Speech and Language therapists to deliver group interventions to children and young people with Down Syndrome aged between 11 years and adulthood, here at our dedicated centre in Bingley.  We are offering up to 4 one hour sessions per month providing support for speech and language, communication skills and social interaction.

The groups provide an opportunity to work closely with parents/carers providing information and support. You will be expected to research and plan for the groups, taking into account the learning styles of the children or young people.  Training and development is offered at the Centre to develop your skills and experience.

The Speech and Language therapists will work as self-employed practitioners and will be paid £40-£70 per contact hour depending on experience.

This post involves working with children and vulnerable adults so is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and an Enhanced DBS check and Health Professionals Council check will be required.
