Learn with Learners session - iPads, Writing & Romans Monday 21st March

Tim Bleazard is delivering a new Learn with Learners session at the Innovation Centre on the morning of 21st March. The session combines the Y4 Media strand of the Bradford Computing Scheme of Work with a History topic on the Roman Army. Schools can register to send up to 5 pupils and a teacher.

Over a morning we will cover the main points in a series of exciting, iPad based activities. At the end of the morning the teacher and pupils return to school with the lesson plans and resources needed to run the activities with their class.

All the media we create will show the Roman Army as a glorious group of heroes or a heartless bunch of despicable invaders. The activities cover:

  • Pro or anti Roman short propaganda films.
  • Photography using filters, crops and green screening.
  • Writing and creating a Roman Army radio advert with our own music.
  • Posters extolling the virtues of the Roman Army or exposing them as cruel monsters.

We will use the free Seesaw app to send our work to the teacher and publish it to a free blog with a couple of clicks.

The session will run from 9.30 until 12pm and there is a charge of £100 per school for the session, lesson plans and supporting resources.  To find out more and to book your place please click here.
