'Children on the Edge' is the topic for the PFE on 4 March. Book your place

Anne Longfield, Children’s Commissioner for England, will be the key note speaker and will outline her five-year vision for improving children’s lives in England and questioning how poverty, health, safety and vulnerability impact on young people’s education and life chances.

Attendees will hear how the Council deploys resources and expertise in a challenging financial climate as it seeks to ensure the most vulnerable flourish.

A case study from within the District will illustrate the successes and challenges faced by those meeting the needs of our most vulnerable young people – and the personal satisfaction this brings.

The meeting takes place on Friday, 4  March 2016 from 4.30pm – 6.30pm (buffet from 4pm) at Margaret McMillan Tower, Princes Way, Bradford BD1 1NN.

Most importantly we want to hear from you.  Anyone with an interest is welcome so please publicise through your networks and bring friends and colleagues.  We would particularly like parents and young people to attend.

The Public Forum for Education holds “big conversations” throughout the year on topical issues in education.  With an independent chair Michael Latham - former Bradford Headteacher, the Forum enables everyone with an interest to contribute their views.

Please confirm your attendance and names of others you invite, either email Public.Forum.for.Education@bradford.gov.uk or telephone Heidi Hardy on (01274) 434335.
