Parents with young children urged to help in district consultation

Bradford Council is asking parents who have had a baby in the district over the last five years to take part in a questionnaire aiming to improve health visitor services in the district.

Health visitors play a crucial role in ensuring children have the best possible start in life, and lead delivery of the Healthy Child Pathway for 0-5 year olds offered to all families.

The NHS England contract for services for children aged 5 and under transferred to the Local Authority on 1 October 2015 and includes both Health Visiting and the Family Nurse Partnership.

The consultation will inform the council of the best way to take these services forward and further improve then in the future and will also cover the Family Nurse Partnership.

We're also looking for other health professionals and those involved with delivering health services to hear their views.

You can have your say on the Bradford Council website by visiting the consultations section on the home page or by visiting http://www.bradford.gov.uk/bmdc/Consultations/health_visitors.
