We will be doing maintenance to our website systems on Sunday, 23 August. Despite the ongoing situation with Covid-19 it is essential that we maintain the security of our systems. This will help us continue to deliver vital public health messages and information about council services via our website and allow you all to access our services using online forms. The work should be done with little disruption to you and any interruption should be short. If you do have problems accessing the site or something doesn’t work on Sunday, please try again later.
Along with other local authorities and partners across the country, Bradford has recently implemented the new arrangements for assessing, meeting and reviewing the needs of children and young people with special educational needs or disability (SEND).
The Department for Education (DfE) and the Department of Health have jointly commissioned Ofsted and the Care Qualities Commission to inspect SEND arrangements in each local area. Proposals for when and how those inspections are undertaken are the subject of a public consultation process. Statutory groups, voluntary groups and individual service users / members of the public are invited to respond directly to Ofsted and CQC to help inform the development of an inspection programme. In addition to the consultation, pilot inspections are taking place across the country. The consultation itself closes on 4th January 2016, with publication of final guidance soon afterward. Inspections of local areas begin in may 2016, and Bradford is expected to be among the first group of areas selected for Ofsted / CQC attention.
Please find the attached consultation document.
