NQT Workshops - Journey to Outstanding

Supported in School, By Schools, For Bradford Schools.

This year Bradford Birth to 19 Teaching School Alliance will be working in partnership with Bradford Council to meet the professional development needs of NQTs and new to profession colleagues with an effective partnership offer.

This offer is based upon outstanding classroom practice, focused sessions from Specialist Leaders of Education (SLEs) and the wisdom of school based headteachers who maintain outstanding outcomes for the city’s children and wish to contribute fully to the career development of professionals across the district.

The focus of the workshops will be around pedagogy based upon the work of leading educational thinkers such as John Hattie and Shirley Clarke.  All schools and professionals aspire to offer the highest possible standards in their setting.  Our workshops will look at the key drivers of assessment, achievement and attainment in order to secure outstanding outcomes for children.

NQTs will explore, using the framework for professional standards for teachers, sessions that will build in opportunities for reflection, self-evaluation and next steps for classroom practice.

Schools are able to select from a series of six workshops tailored to meet the needs of NQTs across Bradford.

We will ensure all NQTs in Bradford are supported successfully in order to become effective, outstanding practitioners.
