During the summer of 2015 the Information Shop for Young People (Keighley) provided young service users with an opportunity to give their views, comments and suggestions about the Shop and its services by completing a short online survey.

The feedback received from young people has been very positive with 93% of Young People surveyed stating that they would recommend the Information Shop - Keighley to their friends, and further 5% saying that they would consider doing so.

When asked what in particular made them happy to use the Information Shop 95% of young people said that “Staff are friendly and welcoming”, whilst 49% highlighted the presence of “Good quality information”. The third most selected reason was because the Information Shop has a “nice atmosphere”.

When questioned about which issues they’d been seeking support with when visiting the Information Shop the top four answers were; “Jobs and Training”, “Education & Courses”, “Money & Benefits” and “Health, Contraception & STI Testing”.

Young People were also asked to provide reasons as to why they liked (or disliked) the Information Shop – Keighley.  All of these comments were positive and included the following:

“They were very friendly and supportive. They gave me all the information that I needed”.

“You get helped straight away without any messing around and get shown respect”.

“The service is great and they help with all kinds of needs. Thanks to everyone…”

Thank you to all those young people who took the time to give us their feedback.

The information gathered from this survey will now be used to help us to improve and tailor our services to the current needs of young people in Keighley and the surrounding area.
