Support for Information, Advice & Guidance on Apprenticeship & Traineeships

Interserve Careers Advisors will be working alongside the Bradford Apprenticeship Hub, Connexions and the Local Enterprise Partnership to provide information and advice to help raise awareness in schools of apprenticeship opportunities across the Bradford District.

Interserve will support existing careers advice in working together to reach all year 10/11 pupils across the district and provide them with the right information and advice on apprenticeships.  This will help them make informed decisions as to their future career path.

The focus of this work is to improve understanding of apprenticeships as a pathway choice and the practical steps to gain an apprenticeship.

Interserve will tailor their support to suit the different needs of schools. Activities offered to schools could include;:

  • Engaging assemblies
  • Seminars – ‘What is an Apprenticeship?’
  • Workshop delivery – CV writing, Applying for Jobs,
  • Registering on AV websites
  • Attendance at careers fairs
  • Participation in ‘Aspire’ and ‘Aim Higher ‘Learning Days
  • Assistance with mock interviews
  • Parents Evenings
  • Staff training days
