British Day launches new round of Nationality Days at Thornbury Primary

A day to celebrate British values and traditions was held at Thornbury Primary to launch a new round of Nationality Days at the school.

All 647 pupils and staff at the school took part in the British Day last Friday (18 September, 2015) - the first of a number of days planned to celebrate the cultures and religions of the children in the school.

Romania Day and Hungary Day are planned for next year. The school celebrated Bangladesh Day, Pakistan Day and Slovakia Day last year.

Topics at the British Day included learning about the Queen, her Coronation and the Royal family, also  the Commonwealth, British law, democracy and diversity in Britain.
