This course will look at:
- the adult role and the active part they need to play
- the importance of child initiated play
- the physical benefits of being outdoors
- play types and play principles
- risk benefit assessments
- Developing a quality environment outdoors
NB: Practitioners must wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear, as part of the session takes place outdoors

This course is free to Bradford Council Employees
This course is £80 per person to organisations.
In order to meet the Council’s quality and sufficiency duty, settings that are graded ‘inadequate’, ‘requires improvement’ or ‘not met’ at their last Ofsted inspection, will receive a 50% subsidy towards the cost of courses.
The subsidy is only provided for training that directly addresses actions identified at their last Ofsted inspection.
